I haven't got any other pets, only chipmunks. Would love a dog one day, but at the moment we haven't got time for it so it would be unfair on the dog.

Jules I love your dogs, is it a German shepherd that you have?

hi yes Teddy the white one was a rescue he was beaten and kicked from 6 weeks of age  when someone saw him being kicked down the road they pulled over and asked the owner why the answer was " i did not want th f**ing thing in the 1st place," so they asked if they could have him and he was taken away, this owner found that he was so scared  witless he could not help him  as was working  12 hour shifts ,so at 12 weeks he had another home unfortunately this owner was diagnosed with terminal cancer hence Teddy at 18 weeks ended up in rescue, where i was helping out and i adopted him  and it took us 18 months to get him to trust people, but he is terrified of people with large centre partings, and hides behind me, but he is now a gentle giant at 45 kilos.the girl bonnie i was told about at car boot sale by traders she was in a house with 14 other dogs and when went to get her aged 9 weeks the seller scruffed her dropped her on the floor from chest height and said "if ya have the bitch you gotta av the dog too" and then chucked him on the floor, so grabbed them both and left before she changed her mind as did not want to leave them in that situation, we rehomed bonnies brother and kept her. but due to the amount of dogs in the house she sleeps on her back with her legs up the wall as all 14 dogs were confined to a very small kitchen, and she grew upto  be 42 kilos but may have something to do with the fact dad is supposed to be a rottie although the vet or myself cant see it in her, and we have 2 spaniel as well

They look fantastic and have got a very loving home. Well done for doing a great job with them, you should be very proud of yourself.  toothy4
People who don't like animals should not be aloud to have them and who breeds them should make sure they go to a good home where they gonna be well looked after and loved. Unfortunately not all breeders care about where the ofsprings go and how they gonna be cared for, just to get rid off them and make money. Shame. sad10 Ofcourse not all breeders are like that, thankfully icon_thumleft.

Jules, i am horrified to hear about how Teddy and Bonnie were treated at their previous homes  cussing Some people are just so cruel.

My grandparents Cat was cruetly treated too  Cry

What happened was he just turned up one day starved and we started feeding him and he stayed but he was terrified of men, he was fine with woman but if my dad or grandad went near him, he cowered on the floor so we suspect a man hit or kicked him.

It turned out after my grandad made enquiries that he belonged to an old woman who passed away and then was a stray. He is suspected to be near 20 years old, he has turned out to be a lovely gentle giant and he got over his fear of men and now loves my grandad.

Hi Jules. I really have a thing about animal cruelty. I would love a chance to kick the original owner of your white dog, up and down the road. Animals, no matter how vicious, are only misunderstood and scared. Your pet, being kicked from 6 weeks of age, did not deserve that. He is very lucky to be with a caring owner now. hello2 hello2 hello2

Hi Jenny b , they are happy now,
Re. your nans cats in the last 15 years ive fostered 270 plus  most of which have arrived on other peoples doorsteps then ended up here as had cat flu, enteritis  or just emaciated , or just unhomeable and i still fostering 6  at the moment ,tara aged 8 , chas x 18 yrs, charles x 19 yrs,2x 24 yrs angel and muffy and finally basil age  25 yrs. theese are classed as non homeable because a) they are  either feral and B) they are too old for new homes we have also had 13 parakeets dumped here so have 11 in aviary in the garden and 2 disabled in large cage in house all were no longer required due to their vocal expressions or screeching,
a short note to others reading this post  i dont collect aniamals they just arrive and if you intend to foster make sure you get back up from a reputable sanctuary, vet bills are expensive, then there is food, bedding flea spray , wormers etc etc,

I don't think i could foster animals i would probably get too attached and would have to keep them and we would have a house full.

Its great i see everyones pets, lovely photos   hello2
