arthritis?

hello i am new here.
i think my chipmunk has arthritis. she is 5 years old... her joints become swollen and red sometimes and she doesn't want to run or play when it happens. it randomly flares up and she sits on her bed all day and grinds her teeth at me until it goes away. sometimes her front and back feet fold over and look mushed together when it happens and it really looks like it hurts her. her vet said that there wasn't any chipmunk medication for arthritis. is there anything i can give her for it? her name is nelly

 when i was helping at the local animal shelter they used flora margarine on dogs with arithis and epilepsy, also cod liver oil just one drop form eye dropper  on food may would probaby help as helps dogs with arthritis, however ive never tried it on a chipmunk, obviuosly dogs are alot bigger so only tiny bit on the food
