Hermione is in the cage my grandad built which as mentioned before suffered alot of chewing damage on the wood along the back wall, she is now chewing that
I covered it with wire but it didn't stop her she's kept at it, the sound is very irritating and now she has loosened or found a bit of wire not secured properly and has pulled it and can get to the wood again and the chewing does my head in but i need that cage because i have nowhere else for her to go yet.

Lottie is my favourite of Hermione's babies, she is the one who nearly died as a 3 week old when she was found cold out of the nest. She is i think the runt of the litter she is very small.

The babies are 46 weeks old today

Here is some pics from the weekend. Hermione came into estrus she really chirped ever so loud and almost the whole day and into next day aswell. At first i was wondering what was going on with her as monday 31st i noticed swelling of her girl parts and by wednesday they were quite pink that was the day i expected her to call but she didn't and i thought i must of missed the day she must of just had a silent season, she was still swollen and seemed in some distress licking the area alot and on sunday she was still looking the same and i thought there must be something wrong, she woke up at 7am and it seemed it would be a normal day but then at 8am she started chirping first quietly but then loud.

Previously i had put Hermione with Bailey but because i got the wrong day they ended up fighting thankfully there was no injuries. This time after listening to her chirping almost non-stop for hours i thought i can't be wrong this time she is most definately in heat so nervously i took Hermione and Bailey to neutral territory this time and stayed and watched them closely for any trouble. When i let them out Hermione was running all over the place just excited to explore around, Bailey went and sat high up and just watched Hermione running madly around. Then Hermione approached him and they touched noses then Bailey sniffed her and realised she was in season and began to follow her around but for a long time she was just wanting to run around and didn't seem to want to mate although she wasn't aggressive to him just ran away from him but he was persistant and she finally let him mate. Hermione was teasing him, she is a real flirt and she was wrestling with him like playfully. They were only together a very limited time so not sure if it was enough to get her pregnant, when she was with Asriel last year they probably had longer together. Whatever happens though its a breakthrough they have mated and now things are looking more hopeful. After Hermione was put back in her cage she began flirting to Ronald-Harry who is in the cage next to her and he was going absolutely mad trying to get to her and she was enjoying teasing him it seemed, not sure she realised i was her son  and he didn't seem to realise or care it was his mother

The babies are 47 weeks old today.

My little girl Blossom is growing up today i noticed she is coming into season, she is 11 months 3 weeks old but to me she is still one of my babies so i find it abit odd that she too like her mum is coming into season. All of them were acting abit odd today they were more friendly than usual maybe something to do with Blossom's heat? In the pic of all three of them they are collecting seeds which had fallen out of my trousers. Lottie had been up my trouser leg and i stood up and the seeds fell out.

Also Willow came up to the mesh today which she hasn't done for ages, she and Nutkin are about 12 months old.

Hermione's babies are 12 months old today

I weighed the three girls on friday and then again today well attempted to
Friday:
Isabella 140g
Blossom 118g
Lottie 90g

Today:
Isabella 144g
Blossom 118g
Lottie 95g

I know Isabella is overweight she has always been the biggest out of the sisters but looks like she is eating alot of the food because i do give them extra to hoard away. Maybe i am giving them too much food but i was nervous of them fighting over food if i didn't give them enough.

49 weeks old

I weighed Blossom, Lottie and Isabella again today we got a new scales because the other ones were playing up at times and i wasn't sure how accurate they were.

With the new scales:

Lottie is 112g
Blossom is 117g
Isabella is 137g

Its great Lottie is almost Blossom's weight she used to be such a tiny scrawny thing now she's doing very well. With Isabella she wouldn't stay still so her weight might not be quite right although i'm sure she is around that weight because she is much bigger than her sisters. Lottie was the easiest to weigh i picked her up and placed her on the scales and she sat there eating a hazel nut. 

Isabella has been more quiet the last few days and today she stole a tissue from my pocket and took it into the nestbox and then she attempted to take the paper i was jotting down the weights on.


On friday both Isabella and Blossom came into season for the first time, they stayed overnight in Bailey's cage. I saw Bailey mate Isabella friday and saturday but didn't see Blossom mating so i don't think she mated but i'm hopeful Isabella will be pregnant.

Happy Birthday Hermione, 2 years old today

Happy Birthday to Asriel he is 3 years old today 
For a treat he had cream cheese in a piece of cream cracker.

Hermione's babies are 50 weeks old today, just two weeks until their one year birthday 

Had a look at Blossom and Isabella can't see any signs that they are pregnant, there is a pic of Isabella sitting up and can't see any teats which should be starting to become visable if she is pregnant it's not looking like it but it is still quite early on so i'll know better by the end of the week. You can also see in the pic that Isabella is missing a piece of her ear which gives her quite a distintive look.

It was sunny today but not very warm it was 3c but in the sun it felt pleasantly warm so Willow was enjoying being out of her sleeping house which she has spent alot of time in lately because she dislikes the cold, last night the temp was -2c.

I don't know what Ronald-Harry weighs but i guess he is close to Isabella in weight maybe bigger than her, he is fat thats for sure, i've already started him on a diet. Ronald-Harry's ears stick out i noticed the other day they don't stand up straight like Asriel's or Hermione's. When Asriel was with Hermione (she had her third season the other day, she has failed to get pregnant with Bailey twice now) Ronald went mad in his cage, he was so angry jumping madly up and down and staring at Asriel and Hermione from his perch and making angry sounds at them. My aunt made the joke that maybe he didn't like seeing his parents getting up to no good, i'm hoping that was the reason and not that he wanted Hermione himself. Thankfully he is much calmer today.
