Thanks for that post Sam.

I emailed Burgess to ask them when they discontinued Supa Chipmunk mix and if they had any other sugestions, this was their reply:

Thank you for your e-mail.

Sorry chipmunk has been discontinued so when it has all sold we will
not make any more.

Kind Regards
Consumer Care

So it sounds as if they still have some remaining stock, but once that's gone we are on our own  :dontknow:

Hi Sam,

Yes the food does have an expiry date, the last lot I ordered only had 3 months left before it expired. Seems like they are on their last lot already  :sad10:

Thanks Sarah  I might as well start on the beapher one when I eventually get some chippies then, I hope they like it! lol If not I'm going to have to look into own made recipes. Anyone have any recipes for self made mixes?

I've seen p@h still stock their food in our local one, its not on their website though? Do you reckon they're discontinuing their mix too? I might contact them  ;D

Hi, i noticed last week that Burgess had stopped selling Supa Chipmunk food when looking after my cousins Guineapigs, saw they ate Burgess food so had a look on the website at the Chipmunk, remembering feeding it years ago and saw it was no longer on there. My Chipmunks are eating Pets at Home which is still on sale at my local one but again i noticed it's not on the website and am thinking too that they may discontinue it. There really isn't much for Chipmunks at all on their website. If they do discontinue it what are we going to feed our Chipmunks? They do food for almost every animal so why stop Chipmunk? I've never heard of Beapher XtraVital Chipmunk but might look into that. I've heard of the Chinchilla one which is sold at Pets at Home.

Its really annoying, I've seen trial packs of new burgesss chincilla pellets the other day so why start thst and discontinue the chipmunk feed   :-[ I might go to p@h and look at their expiry dates, not sure javascript:moreSmileys();whether to order the Beapher or the p@h.  :icon_scratch:

My local jolley's petstore still has stocks of burgess chipmunk food. I have started to mix my own now. I have been using either the burgess or p@h mixed with a good quality hamster food. I also add dawn chorus fruit & nut mix which is actually for birds! They also have monkey nuts & fresh fruit & veg along with their occasional treats, wax worms, egg biscuits etc. I gave them some blackberries yesterday & they loved them!

Hi  I use fruity parrot food and my chips seem to like this, have used it for years. Hope this is of some help, think it may work out cheaper as well.
