#1...Place both cages side by side for a while if indoors and let them out at separate times within the same room allowing them to get each others scent.
#2...If in outdoor aviary place female inside her cage inside of the aviary to allow the male to get used to her scent for a while before opening her cage to allow access.
#3... take him out of his cage and clean thoroughly with light antiseptic water, arrange new/re-cycled nesting boxes and shelving  then put female in to cage. Place Male into recently vacated cage used by female without cleaning. After 2/3 days (*earlier if Female is calling for a mate*) allow male access to his old cage which she will have  claimed as her own.
#4...* *If she is willing and ready to mate she will be making calling cries which are quite easy to distinguish and she will be allowed to go into his cage or he into hers without any bother whatsoever.

However you decide to do it you will know instinctively when they're ready to be together.
You may well have slight scuffles between them as they vie for dominance but usually this is settled quite quickly and without any real damage to either of the chips.

I have 2 females almost 6 months and one male 9 months old.
At first my male was quite aggressive towards the females when there cages were side by side, but after about one month my male got over it.He seems interested in them ,but not aggressive anymore.
It's been almost 4 months he know them now.
I let them out in the same room but not at the same time.So i think now they really know each other smell.
But my male is quite a strong dominant i think, so i am scared to let them out for play time in the same room.
I just really want them to play together at the same time, I don't necessarily want them to mate.
Should i release them into the room now or should i wait until spring???
Any other advice would be much appreciated.
Thank You. :)

Should i release them into the room now or should i wait until spring??? Sorry but if you release them together they will mate the only way to stop it is to have him OUCH castrated. They will most likely be fine if released into the same room together but leave the doors open to bothe cages, you may find they will all end up back in the one place anyway.

ok but then, don't they mate only if the females are not chirping?
if put together in play time if the females are not in season ,my male should not want to mate with them, right?
I don't want him castrated, never ever!
Do i just let them out all together in the room with both cages open and see what happens and if they become aggressive, put them back in their aviaries?

Do i just let them out all together in the room with both cages open and see what happens and if they become aggressive, put them back in their aviaries? That is what I would do as for the mating if the females are ready they can mate without having to call, generally they are ready to mate for 3/4 days with the middle days being the time they call as they are most receptive, if they mate and concieve however in the first/second day she will know and will not call. :icon_scratch: not easy to predict then when they are going to call so I would just let them out and if anything happens it happens. :love3: :love3:

This is it,
my 3 angels are now out for a play together!i was a bit anxious but it is actually going very well!
Yuki my male just want to .... but my girls don't want to.So Kimiko just runs away and Mayumi tells him off if he is too insisting! They are exploring each others aviaries!
I think it is a good start!
No blood bath! i am so relieved!

Nice to hear. I just let Lilo and Geordie out together. She was more demanding than him haha that was a few hours ago so they've had a hump then snuggled under my bed more humping now back to their cages for apple :sign10:

Its pure instinct, they'll only do it while in season.

I've noticed with mine that the days after mating, my female will pin my male down from behind and groom him (you should see the look on his face) this was the same with my previous female

So basically they will only mate while in season!!!
i am not sure yet if i want them to have babies.they are all young.
i can't tell you how happy i am they are getting along! It will give them twice as much free time! :sunny:
