Hey, I just got my chipmunk's cage today (getting the chipmunk at the weekend) and I'm planning on putting some real tree branches in it to run around on.
Which types of tree are best suited for chipmunks?

Fruit trees I think are best, apple, pear etc. But I just cut some down from local wood area. Just make sure they are not the poision variety shown in the main section.

I have actually just been going out into the yard and trimming whatever branches are available. I know most of what I grab is cherry but she is interested in whatever we put in her home. I also put some larger sticks that she can run around on and she loves to hide in the leaves. Also her favorite is her paper towel and toilet paper rolls. After your done with the paper towels put the cardboard roll in and they love to hide inside. Ours actually plays with hers and will wrestle and roll around with it which is hilarious to watch.
