Hi,
Nutkin's first litter was born during wednesday night or thursday. Thursday was her 31st day of pregnancy. I had a listen by the nest box thursday early afternoon and couldn't hear them then but Nutkin was in the nestbox so i think they were either already there but quiet at that time or she was getting ready to have them. I was out thursday until late evening and when i listened by the box after 11pm i heard them squeaking almost as soon as i put my ear to the aviary so i suspect most likely she had them during thursday afternoon or early evening.
These babies have been quieter than i was expecting my last litters squeaked very loud almost all the time. Every afternoon each day since thursday i have had a listen by the box but i couldn't hear them it was far to noisy with all the Chippies in their wheels or running down the mesh. My dad had also tried to see if he could hear the babies but couldn't either so he was concerned something wasn't right. I also had a listen late each night but didn't hear them again until yesterday night when i heard the faintest squeak so felt relieved i had finally heard them since thursday night as i was worried by the lack of squeaking from them.
I had a quick look today, they were well buried in nesting material. Nutkin had her eye on me the whole time so i just quickly sexed them and had a check they looked alright. There are four, all look fed and they look lovely. There is a beautiful little girl Dilute so looks like Nutkin does carry the Dilute gene

The Agouti's are two girls and a boy.
