Buddy does not eat the cuttlefish but the english chips do.  None of them will eat mushrooms and none of them are keen on scrambled eggs even if there is a lot of cheese in it.

For those chippies that will not eat cuttlefish, try grating it and mixing it in with their food.  Almonds and sesame seeds have the most calcium.

Ell1es - what is the name of the calcium block that you purchase?  Can you please provide a linK?

Thanks

Marci

Hi Marci, been to the petshop today and the silver birch/calcium blocks are made by www.sharplesgrant.com here in the UK and the item is called "Cal 'c' Yum" bird toy.

Cheers Ellie
PS Couldn't see it on their website but there is a contact us on there.

Tried the cuttle fish but my chips are not that bothered.
We give ours low fat strawberry yogurt sometimes with porrige oats mixed in, this always goes down very well, in summer months i make yogurt ice cubes with sunflower seeds inside.
Also worth trying are yogurt drop treats from the pet shops.

i make yoghurt ice cubes for my dogs, if anyones interested, just mix 1 large carton of plain lowfat yoghurt and a pint of cooled chicken stock. sounds disgusting i know :dontknow: but my dogs love it :icon_thumleft:
but i mite make some for my chips now with just the yoghurt :sign10: and maybe some fruit in :dontknow:
