I thought it might be a good idea to create a separate thread so i can put all my Chipmunks together since not all have their own threads.
I don't tend to often get photos of the other Chips though but thought it was about time to get some.
This first lot are the Chips currently indoors but we have completed another aviary so hopefully more can go outside.
First two pics are Abigail my oldest Chippie, she is looking very old now and has been slowing down, she is at least 7 years old. She will remain an indoor Chippie due to a broken foot which she came to me with which makes it difficult for her to climb. I got her as a rehome with Pearl in 2008. Sadly lost Pearl last July. Abigail has a very pale stripe on her nose and she has very reddish stripes and rump but very grey shoulders. She has gone grey with age. Her black stripes have also browned with age. I've never had a close bond with her, she will take food from me and has climbed on my shoulder a few times but we didn't get further than that but she's a lovely Chippie.
Next couple are Ronald-Harry, Hermione and Asriel's son born last spring. Ronald-Harry is a big Chippie i've been trying to put him on a diet but he is very lazy and doesn't want to do much but sit on his perch and watch around him. Although if one of the girls chirps he goes mad trying to get to her and will start showing off doing acribats in his cage. Ronald-Harry is a lovely boy who inherited his mother's pointy ears. Ronald is not the tamest he takes food from me readily and has climbed on my lap a few times but hasn't got much further. I think though he could develop a closer bond once in an aviary. Ronald-Harry is related to every Dilute i have since they all are Hermione and Asriel's offspring. He has three older sisters Blossom, Lottie and Isabella. And also three younger sisters and three younger brothers.
Next photo is Nutkin. She is a year old female. She is Agouti. I got her with Willow. Nutkin has always been quite red, her stripes were very ginger as a baby they have faded abit but she is still quite red. Its not easy to get good photos of her she is very hyperactive and is hardly still. Nutkin now takes food from me and she comes up to the cage when i go over, previously she would hide. She has a black nose and her centre stripe is extra wide.
Next two are Nugget, a very special boy. Dad of Lottie's and Willow's litters. I lost Nugget's brother Bailey in March. Nugget is a handsome man but he is still very nervous. He hides alot but if he doesn't hide he tends to freeze in a corner. Nugget has a pierced ear. I am truly lucky to have this boy, he produced three gorgeous Cinnamon babies and 10 beautiful Agouti babies of which most hopefully carry the Cinnamon gene.
Next two pics in this post are of our newest male. Not named yet. He was born in february and i got him as a swap for one of Willow's males a few weeks ago. Already he is coming up to me and taking food. He loves mealworms. First thing i noticed was he was greyer than my other Agouti's. He has a wide centre stripe like Nutkin has. Hopefully soon i'll have a name for this boy.
Finally the last two pics are Willow and Nugget's Cinnamon son. This boy is so lovely, everyone who has met him loves him. He always greets me at the cage and is so friendly he will climb on me and take food from me. I had to bring this boy inside when his sisters and mum came down with a respiratory infection, thankfully he seems fine. He must miss his sisters though he loved to wrestle with them. For now i've named him Tiny because he was so tiny as a baby definately the runt, he almost didn't survive as he wasn't gaining weight and needed supplement feeding.
