It must be very difficult to run a commercial pet operation, because to make money they need the volumes. This is someones business, but it's not a business I could ever do.
I thought the video was revealing in what it didn't show, there were no wide shots showing what I suspect are rows of stacked animal cages. I don't mean just piled on top of one another, but I would think to make this commercially viable there would have to be sheds containing large numbers of cages. The mention of the mass watering system and commissioning their own recipe of food hints at this.
This is farming, which is all perfectly legal and subject to regular government inspections, but I would try hard to get my pet chipmunk from one of the regular breeders on here or I would also consider taking in a chipmunk that needed re homing.
