 The funny thing in pic with like stripes, looks like quarter mouse, quarter rat, and half chipmunk lol,  ( its a barbary striped grass mouse)

Ive read some really bad stuff about Simons Rodents, if you type them up in googl you can see the stuff people have said about them

  Been intouch with simons rodents, firstly they only supply the pet trade and not the public, Ive been in touch with them for 3 days and every time that you speek to them they say they will get back to you and never do? Even after phone call after phone call still no joy, they just past the buck, When I phoned none of the staff asked if I was a pet shop nor if I was in the pet trade or business, and still they said that they would see if they could get what i was after? with no reply.. The wife and I have looked in to this and come up with maybe it should be call SIMONS FARM and not Simons Rodents,.. presonally I would go to a repretable breeder.who no the health of they own rodents..

Martyn and pinkpill, thanks for contacting them aswell. i contacted them a few weeks ago by email and they have replied to me every time. I am wanting to buy some chipmunks from tong garden centre but as they came from simons rodents i have been hesitant. i wasnt sure as these are a large breeder and they call the animals `products` but most of all recently reading some bad comments about them online, thought it would be a good idea to ask on here as you never know if they are actually bad or not, and this is what they said:

May i ask how come tong garden centre let them go as young as 5 weeks? I have read that most people let them go at least 10 weeks or more, but i would like young ones as i can tame them better
 
They're weaned at 5 to 6 weeks, but it's up to the individual retailer as to when they sell them on.
 
Also may i ask about how they are bred, do you have several males and females who you breed from? and not just one or two females
We have many pairs and colonies from which we breed.

I am very interested in buying some from tong as they are the nearest place i can get some from, but i need to know more about theyre history and the parents
 
They are all bred for colour and tameness, we pick the animals with the best colour and temprament for breeding

so are these chipmunks you have on your premises handled by and have interaction with the staff?

The Chipmunks we have are Aviary only, and are not handled regularly

Yeah I'll dig out the link for you, but i also found this video which looks like a promotional video for their services, I could not see any aviary's in the video though.
