execise wheels for chips/chipmunk entertainment

Hi one and all.

What do members think of exercise wheels,I would like to know if members have them in there aviarys and do they get used would it be a good buy?.What do members do for there chips regarding entertainment,I have herd of people setting up interlinking tubes and rope for climbing what are members thoughts on this subject.

wheels are fine, but get a mesh one n one that is large enough ie. not a hamster size one lol, also there is the flyin saucer wheel, not all use them, but i have these and wheels, and some of mine use them both n some just use the wheel

Hi what size are these wheels are these wheels classified for rats supose the hamster wheels will be smaller?

yes rats or chinchilla sized wheels

I  have two wheels both large and they are in constant use, what I did do with mine was meash the inside to make it easier for them to run.

My little guys love having wheels to play, on I got them two good sized wooden ones from ZooPlus, big enough for the chip and importantly the tail.

i'v never seen a wooden one  i'll av to av a look  but do they not chew them?

ooh just found em, not bin on zooplus for a while theyre new, but theyre quite thick by the looks of them so it would take a while to chew through em i think

The wooden wheels haven't been chewed at all, I have six chips and two wheels so there is usually a queue to get on.

Hi I have just purchased two hard plastic rodent wheels, 28cm these are brilliant and great size, Ideal if you keep your chipmunks in doors, as they are so quite and safe, you can attach to the bars or free standing.
My chipmunks love them, you can purchase these from Ebay ( Superpets And Merlins pet Supplies ) these are £9.99 each, well worth the money.

i've discovered another way to entertain the chipmunks, i sent my son to get a branch for them to chew on instead he fetched a tree in lol

I have a wodent wheel for my chips which is exxceelnt safe and constantly in use. I would reccomend these to any chipmunk owners

Just realised I've lost the little piece of plastic from my silent spinner  will definatly put some more 'tree' in my aviary this week as it looks fab with fresh leaves

some of mine loved the wire rat wheel I got but I didn't love it at 6am, squeak squeak squeak squeak squeak, It was fine when I closed the spare room door and really funny when two jump on and one gets a free ride spinning around
