I think JennyB has had a great idea there  :icon_salut:  ;Dwith the hand rearing info, it's probably just the time of year with all the chippies breeding so like Jenny said it's getting more often.

Well better get back to doing some work now, see you tomorow Pinkpill  :hello:

Yes that was What I was advised to do by the vet. It all depends on there age... I have handreared assorts before but chipmunks are The hardest ever!! Don't forget when feeding always keep the baby upright at ALL Times when feeding as they can drown!!! And after every feed clean bottom as they can't do it themselves and use Luke warm water to stimulate this! This is what there mother would do for them. Honey and warm water is also good as a filler too! Between feeds. Use heat lamps and water bottles too keep warm a baby chip can die without heat less than 3 hours. Be very careful when handing them also they are very very fragile and bones are growing all the time. Use fleece for warmth not towels as there feet can get stuck and they will panic! Wash hands all the time before and after handling them, I used a anti back gel after washing as infection is common kn the 1st 5 weeks ! Any probs email Me and I will send u my number!! Xx hope this helps. Formula milk I was told by vets is the best for Vitms  that they need. Good luck  :happy7:

Excellent news that the babies will have someone to look after them.

Just proves how far people on the forum will go to help each other out when the going gets tough.

Well done guys and I hope the babies grow into strong healthy chips
and keep us posted on their progress

Regards

Chris
