How did you name yours?

So just wondering how everyone named their chipmunks  I am awful and love animals to come with names 

Also I am pregnant so how anyone came up with baby names would help too haha name chosing is driving me loopy lol!

I just typed in baby names on google and searched through loads until i found some i liked 
Or get a magazine or newspaper and look through it everyones names and see what ones you like
Or think of people you really like or admire and choose their names or versions of their names

mine didnt have names when i got them i just looked at them n the names just came out lol
like scarlet had scars n jump well he never stopped  petal she liked petals n alvin well my son named him lol n minx her name just came from being white

We have 4 chipmunks at present. The first one was named snuggles because for the first few days we had him all he did was snuggle up in his nest box (my wife named him). The second two are called ash and cloud because we were to collect them on our way home from manchester airport after a family holiday and we where delayed by the ash cloud (I named them). My son patrick named our 4th one coconut because (can u guess why ? ) yes he his white.

[Timor]

I was actually named because a cleaner at the hospital said that Timur would be a nice name and then they changed it to Timor. I have a very unique name
I would also say that you should name your child or chipmunks something different especially because of the child because I enjoy being unique in some sort of way.

my first 2 are dilutes called bits n bobs, as i couldnt think of a name, my nephew who took me to get them suggested it  then i had my dilute hellboy because when he was a baby his mum caught his front foot and it swelled up like a big balloon and the character hellboy had a big arm  and when we got him a mate we called her an agouti angel, so she was a hells angel  now since hellboy died R.I.P! we called angels new mate gabriel, also a dilute, and they are now so in love and my last pair were bubble n squeak, only as the male squeaked and bubble went with squeak, but then we sold squeak as we couldnt catch the other male squiggle, who is named as 1 of his stripes were not straight, so now we av bubble the dilute female n squiggle the agouti male 

[Timor]

I also remembered how we named one of our cats. Well we had a tesco delivery and the guy there saw the cat and just said he's a buster so that is now his name

Chipmunks:

1 & 2 Chip and Dale - after the cartoon Chipmunks i watched as a girl
3. Chipper - similar to Chipmunk lol
4. Stripe - thought was appropriate
5. Creamie - she had cream stripes
6. Christmas - i got her in december, that was abit of a stange name though
7. Chirpie - liked the sound of it and because Chips chirp
8. Sandie - she was ginger and i thought it was a nice name
Sandie's babies:
9. Hazel Nut - liked the name Hazel, her colour and because it was a nut
10. Ginger Nut - same reason as Hazel
11. Almond Nut - thought it would be nice to have all the siblings named after nuts lol
12. Brazil Nut - same as Almond
13. Chirpy - same as Chirpie
14. Stripey - same as Stripe.

Current chippie's:

15. Asriel - after Lord Asriel in The Golden Compass film, thought the name was different
16. Pearl - she was already called that but i loved it so kept it
17. Abigail - nice girl name
18. Hermione - from Harry Potter my fav film
19. Auburn Angel Bailey - his colour is like Auburn and Baileys drink, Angel because he was sweet and i like the names (Bailey is his short name)
Hermione's babies:
20. Blossom she's white and blossom sounded girly
21. Ronald Harry - from Harry Potter, got to have the trio!
22. Lottie name i liked
23. Isabella Ginny Luna - all names i like, two from Harry Potter


24. Willow - name for a Squirrel from Animals of Farthing Wood
25. Nutkin - a Red Squirrel from Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin.

Names in bold are the main names.

Hi Sam

I went for a Singer theme, Lady Gaga, Florence (Florence & the machine) Billy Nibbles (billy Idol), Beyonce, Annie (Annie Lennox), with the exception of Alvin and Britney which my daughter named for the obvious reason.

hehe their are some fab names in their! I love the hellboy resulting in his hells Angel 

I have looked online at the most popular names and I don't seem a big fan of most of them so I am looking down the more unique track maybe. I might have a look into a baby book and see what comes out of that (although I must admit I do like Aaron if it is a boy and its the first name in the book  )

Tiny came named as he was the smallest of the three brothers and Star was named by my cousin and it stuck as it suited her personality

also i always watch the credits after films or any programmes and see if theres any unusual names i like and i write them down n save

this was hellboys arm, we thought he would lose it so we decided earlier on we would keep him so he was extremely spoilt, but his arm practically returned to normal later but he was already appropriately named i thought
