Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss  :'( :'(

How is petal reacting? If she seems to be feeling the loss then maybe I would leave her be for a bit so that its not too much change for her. Do what you feel is right. I just think that sometimes trying to keep a sense of normality can be best, that's what I tried to do for candy and she seemed to calm down a bit after about a week or so.

My condolences.  :'(

:'( this year appears to be one of bad tidings but among every disaster there is a little light if it were not for the amount of people posting and keeping chips we would no know of at least 400 little souls making faces smile all over the country indeed all over the continent  :love3:
CHIPMUNKS;LIKE ALL ANIMALS ARE FOR LIFE NOT JUST FOR FASHION STATUS.

So sorry to hear your news.

As you probably know I lost 3 of my chips recently after they escaped. I had 6 escapee's and fortunately they all returned but 3 died within 24 hours of their return. Scrat my first chip was one of them.

I blamed myself for not making the aviary escape proof enough even though I thought  I had.

These things happen and we have to learn from experience and not to blame ourselves.

Looking back on it  I know I give all my chips the best care and attention I can including the ones that died and  take reassurance in that, from the fact that all the escapees did return home.

Home must be pretty  good place to be  then.

It's sad that we have lost some but better to look to the future and the chips we have now than the ones we have lost.
Please don't blame yourself and keep your chin up you gave them the best possible lives they could have had.

Regards

Chris

Hi Hollysmithy,

How is petal holding up? Hope things are going ok your end. Don't start thinking about if it was your fault or not, these things just happen at times, no one means for it to happen and if you were to know some things wrong you would do everything in your power to help them. Your a good owner and I bet their life with you was full of joy and they loved it.
