I currently own 10 Chipmunks (Alvin & Britney, daughter named them) Lady Gaga, Florence and Billy nibbles , Mr Bo Jangles & Nina, Philly, Oliver, Pixie , 1 Terrier (Candy), 1  Guinea  Pig ( Fudge ), 1 Rabbit (Lucy), 3 fish and 2 Zebra Finches( Mr & Mrs Finch).

I have checked in on them today after being away for the weekend and found that they have moved their home. All the hay and other filling has been moved from the nest box into a tube at the back of the aviary. I'm assuming their mum has done this, possibly because I kept opening the box to look in on the babies? or possibly so they are closer to the ground in case the babies fall now they are starting to climb from the tube? I have definitely seen 1 of the babies out and about and expect that the other has been out while Ive been away. Think the babies are coming up to 6 weeks now.

They recovered fine from the bald patches.
But I lost one about 2 weeks later. We had been away for the weekend and when I got back and looked in the cage one was laid out on the shelf, so I picked her up and she was floppy. I stroked her a few times but she went stiff in my hand.
The other girl, Wendy, is doing great, she is still an indoor chippy due to having babies outside. Hoping to move her outside in the next few weeks. She finally seems to have grown to adult size. The only complaint I have with her is getting her back in her cage after a run round.

Skip has been chirping on and off for about 4 or 5 days now. Its not a constant all day chirp like when she was calling a mate. I can only think she is talking to the babies telling them when its safe to come out. Is this normal mummy behaviour? Could there be another reason?
